Our association provides competitive and social netball opportunities for all participants who want to play, umpire or coach, and welcome all ages and levels of experience and ability.
Our association values friendship, community spirit, teamwork and respect to all members – from our volunteers to our umpires and parents.
Our Volunteers and Life Members are active and engaged members in our organisation, and we are grateful and thankful for their outstanding contributions to the development of netball with us. Without volunteers we wouldn’t be able to do what we do!
Our Association
Our History
Hastings Valley was formed at a Sports Council meeting on 2 March 1977. In 1979 Hastings Valley had our first General Meeting. We started with a modest 80 girls and three grass netball courts at the Macquarie Park precinct. In 1982 HVNA became affiliated with NNSW and started participating in the Junior and Senior State Championship weekends.
In 1988 we received a Grant and were able to put in 3 asphalt courts (1991) and an additional 10 grass courts which was most appreciated as we had grown to 625 members.
In 2001 we added lights to the Macquarie Park Precinct and we also got more hard courts. Unfortunately in 2009 our Clubhouse was burnt down and we had to rebuild.
Then in 2016 / 17 - we were able to complete a Million Dollar Upgrade to clubhouse & courts after succesfully obtaining a Grant. We opened the new courts in March 2017 in torrential rain!
In 2024 we have over 1400 members and are one of the largest regional association in NSW!
